- Find the official source link (merchant website/app page/social post).
- Read requirements: membership/app, ID, group size, booking, minimum spend.
- Check timing: "birthday week" vs "birthday month" vs exact day.
- Check channel: dine-in only, delivery only, specific outlets only.
- Save proof: screenshot the promo terms before you go.
The most common gotchas
- Birthday set in the app too late (some need lead time).
- Promo only for members, but membership is not instant.
- Staff doesn't know the promo: you need to show the terms.
