What you get

3x Family Points on your first purchase during your birthday month. This applies at IKEA stores, IKEA online store, Swedish Restaurant, Swedish Bistro, Swedish Food Market, and Swedish Café.

Note: this is a points multiplier, not a free item. Points accumulate and can be redeemed later (100 points = RM1 redeemable value).

Requirements at a glance

• Free IKEA Family membership required (physical card or eCard)
• Applies to the first purchase only in your birthday month while presenting your card/eCard
• Valid at all IKEA Malaysia locations and the online store
• One birthday bonus per membership per year

How to claim

1. Register for a free IKEA Family membership at any IKEA Malaysia store or online at family.ikea.com.my
2. Make sure your date of birth is set in your IKEA Family profile
3. During your birthday month, make your first purchase at any IKEA touchpoint
4. Present your IKEA Family card or eCard at checkout
5. The 3x points multiplier is applied automatically to that first transaction

What usually goes wrong

• Forgetting to present the card — points are only awarded if the cashier or system can link your membership at the time of purchase; points cannot be added retroactively in most cases
• Not the first purchase — the 3x bonus only applies to the first qualifying purchase of your birthday month; later transactions in the same month earn regular points
• eCard not loaded — if you use the IKEA app eCard, make sure the app is open and the card is accessible before reaching the checkout
