How to claim (general)

1. Confirm your card is one of the eligible Maybank premium cards for the venue.
2. Reserve ahead where the hotel recommends or requires reservations.
3. Tell the restaurant you are using the Maybank dining privilege before ordering.
4. Pay the bill with the eligible Maybank card.
5. Check the final receipt before leaving; the discount is usually applied at checkout, not after the fact.

Shangri-La KL

• The headline 50% rate only applies to 2 diners; larger tables get lower percentages.
• Lobby Lounge is beverage-only at 20% off.
• The 52-visit cap applies across participating restaurants for the campaign period.

Marriott Bonvoy

• Alcohol is excluded.

What usually goes wrong

• Using a standard card — these are premium-card privileges. A normal debit or basic credit card may not qualify.
• Counting diners incorrectly — Shangri-La’s discount depends on the number of diners, including the cardmember.
• Missing blackout dates — festive periods and public holidays can be excluded.
• Expecting alcohol to count — Marriott’s offer excludes alcoholic beverages.
• Stacking promotions — hotel dining privileges usually cannot be combined with other discounts, vouchers, or membership perks.
