5. Show your app to the barista and tell them you’d like to redeem your birthday reward — they will add the free cake slice to your order

What usually goes wrong

• Registered too late — if you sign up during your birthday month, the reward only kicks in the following year
• No handcrafted beverage — bottled drinks and packaged food do not trigger the reward; you need an espresso, latte, Frappuccino, or similar handcrafted drink
• Trying to redeem via delivery — the birthday cake is in-store only
• Account shows no reward — check your Rewards tab; sometimes the voucher appears under “My Rewards” only after the first day of your birthday month
